Genre

The book Maus is a comic book that tells the story from a survivors eyes. It is being passed onto the son who is comparing his dad on  where he was and is now. The story is told through pictures, dialogue, commentary, the camps, hideouts, and etc. This assists in the story to be told in two ways: a personal point of view and an educational perspective. Many people who do not know the details about the Holocaust and what went on during it can learn more.

Why is he that comfortable to talk about this story?
Is this book for himself or for other people?

  1. 1) He is so comfortable with talking about the story because it is for the knowledge of others and for an understanding for his son so he is open with it.

2)The book is both for himself and others. He himself needs to learn what his family past contrains but also wants others to learn his dad's story and for it to be there forever.

  2. I agree with david. I like how you talk about how the story was told, gives someone who doesn't know this story a sense of what the book is about

  5. I agree that it can be sort of an educational book, or lesson for people that know nothing about the Holocaust. It gives insight of its horror's and just how tragic of a time it was.

    Oh and I hate you
